Strangers In the Night
Christmas Eve and we rose very lazily.
At Breakfast Himself endeavoured to
Avoid the gaze of the server who he offended yesterday.
Instead of waiting for the water bottle, himself got up and grabbed one … cue…. Sever coming running over and demanding to know if he wanted to serve his own wine too… or go to the bar and get his beer.
Oh dearie. Himself doesn’t do tormenting well… and tried to hide in his seat and avoid her gaze.
It did make me and Tooli laugh.
Mostly today we sat on balcony and read and when the sun appeared after lunch we headed to the pool and much to the amazement of the bar staff who opened up inside instead of pool side clambered in and froze for forty minutes or so.
We were overjoyed when himself joined us for fifteen minutes - he doesn’t do cold but he does do swimming on Christmas Day!
Later after much hot chocolate, and dripping our way thru the hotel and up four floors in the elevator we showered and got ready for the Christmas Day Dinner
It was karaoke for entertainment. What joy! There were a couple of really good singers, a couple of really enthusiastic singers and some crazy arsed dancers.
And some folk who can’t respect personal space. Just saying.
Tooli was on a mission.
This was her mission.
And mission was accomplished.
And skinny dipping did take place
Why is it that she can live 3500 miles from
Home…. And do what she wants, when she wants…. But put her back in 10 ft of me and I need to stay awake til she comes home.
Only benefit of that is that I should sleep on the plane tomorrow!
