Cascades of gold

The weather has been very mixed. By the time I was ready for a walk after lunch, it was raining and very windy. I decided to risk it and went by car to Acomb Woods.

The rain stopped as I arrived and the sun appeared (intermittently). There is a lot of water in the river and I was fascinated by the waves of amber, black and white that coursed down.

The river is running from right to left in this image.

On my way back to the car, the rain came again and turned to sleet. I had the best bit of the day for a walk.

Margaret came and Margret came so we are all up to date now.
