Nostalgia continues

Grandchild #3 playing with the Hornby clockwork train today that originally belonged to his paternal great grandfather and was played with for hours by his paternal grandfather! Sadly, his father was not offered the chance to play with this extensive layout due to his father being too busy!

That is one of the reasons why grandparental opportunities are so important in enabling a second shot. Hence the old adage : grand parenting is all the fun bits without the day to day responsibilities!

As our Wiltshire clan headed for the Salisbury Plain after lunch, we went for a walk. This was the first time since having the ‘flu that we felt like a decent winter walk.

We hope to meet our youngest outside tomorrow as he recovers from his latest dose of Covid. We are watching the news of the rising Chinese Covid infections with some concern.
