Exhibition opening

After workday and personal business work I visited at photo exhibition opening of Johanna Kare. Her exhibition "In Pain" is based on very closeup  portraits of parents whom childs have been died because of drugs. There were also very touching story beside each photo. 

There was a troubadour guitarist singing and our mayor, a retired bishop, a doctor, one of the local mothers in the photos, a representative of the local anti-drug support society and of course the artist himself gave their speeches. The man on the left is deputy mayor of Lappeenranta and lady on the right is the artist herself.

It was also a nice surprise to meet Johanna here in live, because on 2021 I shared to her a The Photogarpher Of The Year honourable mention  of Association Of Finnish Camera Clubs. At then Covid-19 restrictions were still on, so this reward ceremony was arranged in nation wide Teams live event. She was also such as suprised and happy as I was of this encounter.

Exhibition is open in local mall until 12th of January.
