Cleared the Decks

But not yet the halls, nor the windowsill.

Edie was surprised by the click of the camera. I'd been mucking around with bracketing. Without much success.

Earlier we had driven across to Melmerby in the hope of a caffeine fix at the Village Bakery. Finding it closed, we headed a little way up Hartside for a lay-by vista.  When I say we, the other two sat in the car; one phone-scrolling, the other blasting One Direction straight into her hearing aids. It was nice to have them along though, humouring my desire to look at a different horizon.

I’ve been enjoying reading again after a long time.  Just finished Sorrow and Bliss.
