Ripley

Walk with our friends, J & S and their grand doggie, Logan.

Mr C messaged them last week to see if they fancied a walk and we were meant to go yesterday but changed when we saw the forecast.  However, it was quite a stressful walk as Logan was constantly trying to hump Ruby who just wanted to play.  He is a big and very strong Labrador and really too much for my small friend J to handle and she was dragged all over the place if he was on his lead, which was quite often.  She did say he isn’t normally as bad as this and she will definitely ache tomorrow.  The plan was to walk down to The Anchor have a drink or two before wandering back but the pub was only open to people who had booked due to staff shortages.  We walked back to Ripley and ended up getting a coffee.

In other news… Tinks has had her leg amputated today.  I spoke to the vets last week and made the date for today. But yesterday Mr C and I were just about to pop out shopping when I noticed her paw had opened up, not gushing as it has in the past. Whilst I held her, Mr C and Lucy managed to bandage her up and after talking to the vets it was decided to take her in and they would keep her overnight.  The operation went well and she will be staying in again overnight and hopefully will be home tomorrow.
