Hark the Herald Angels Sing

While I was getting my oil changed for the long ride south, I walked down the road to the Home Depot. As with a lot of stores, Christmas merchandise is 50% off. Hmm.

Although I've never had the voice for it, I've always wanted to be part of a quartet, Hmm.

The angels were originally 100 dollars. At half price, 50 dollars. I demanded to see the manager. "If I buy 3 of these girls, will you give me a better price?"

"How about 40 dollars apiece? 120 dollars."

"110, and you get rid of 3 angels."

"Sold!"

My plan for next Christmas is to cut a tape using my daughter Karen as the soprano, Shelley (Naturelover) as the alto, my dad Jim as the tenor, and I will sing bass.

I will stand in with the 3 angels, and the ladies and I will lip synch Silent Night. You may laugh, but it has to be better than Michael Bolton singing it.

Believe what you may, but I did walk down to the Depot.
