Stop gap…

… just as I’m getting into bed. Too tired to choose a better photo to tell the story of today. Esmée and I have had such fun and even I have been surprised by how long my ability for creative play lasts. One game can stretch for hours!

It’s been great. The girls LOVED the climbing frame and that little Théa is truly fearless.

We took a pre- dinner break and visited the illuminated house nearby. Both girls were awestruck. Then it’s dinner, baths and out like lights. We grownups toasted chestnuts and marshmallows on the open fire until bed called for Joff and Andréa.

And it didn’t take too long to clear away and it’s bedtime for grandparents too.
