Top to toe in tailbacks

Oh, I got red lights all around.

All that needs to be recorded is that we successfully made the trip from Kent to Edinburgh, leaving at 10.00 and arriving at 8.00pm.

All things considered we got away with it lightly. The first part of the journey as far as Blyth was stop/start, after that it was better. It rained the whole way. Wipers swishing back and forth all the time.

We were lucky with the Dartford Crossing, only a 5 minute holdup owing to a short stoppage to clear some debris. We heard only a short time later that there were 9 miles of queues northbound stretching back to J4 at Orpington. Phew….!
