The great outdoors
This morning I completed a full ablution, including a hair wash and blow dry, and I actually got dressed. What a novelty that was after three days of jim-jams. I even managed some light household chores and all without retreating to bed for a few hours kip. I must be getting better. My nose is still runny and I'm still coughing a bit but I think a return to health is on its way. Mr Flossmo seems, likewise, to be coughing less although we did manage a splendid duet for a few moments this afternoon.
Later, as we were getting very low on provisions, we made an emergency dash to the Co-op, kitting ourselves with masks and using the self-service till to try and minimise the spread of any bugs. Whilst out and about I stopped to photograph a light display on the wall of St Peter's church in Wrecclesham. I thought the simplicity of the lights beautifully encapsulated the core of Christmas.
The forecast for tomorrow is reasonable so unless something unforeseen intervenes I am determined to get out in the fresh air for at least a short walk. In the meantime an early night beckons.
