Kitty's in the Kiln

Talk about cutting it fine!!

I made our "Shit Mates" some cat bowls for their rescue cats at Pottery Class but due to the snow, the class was delayed a week. The bowls were sat in a plastic bag, unable to dry in time to be fired. They were meant to be ready for today as our Shit Mates were coming over.

Instead, I managed to get a few made in my studio and fired last night. The kiln was finally cool enough to open at 9am this morning, ready for their arrival at lunchtime. I'm glad they didn't explode in the kiln and happy with how they turned out.

We had a lovely afternoon with our friends. Daughter Number 1, her fiancé and Matty also joined us.

And the cat bowls where loved! Thank goodness!!!!
