Bupa Great Women's 10K Race, Glasgow

The southside of Glasgow was brought to a standstill by more than 7,000 women this morning. A colourful sight, so well organised. Seemingly one of the largest female running events in the UK.

I decided to position myself at the 5K halfway mark, and was pleased to get an enthusiastic wave from this bride and her maids. A nice wee extra to get the piper too. And a rare opportunity to walk right up the middle of the road.
