Lake-walking the dog with mountain views

Fleeing the gruesome Central Switzerland weather we stayed a weekend in the italian region of Switzerland, the Ticino.
It was much much warmer there and we had blue skies! Later on after a bit of hiking we could sit by the shores of the Lago Maggiore in flip-flops, eating pizza and ice-cream :)

We really wondered about the mountain-bikers heading up to Monte Tamaro - they carried their bikes up all the snowy hiking pathes to realize that the way down has not less snow to offer and to carry the bikes most of the way back down again. Seemed like quite a burden...
