A Wild-Goose Chase

The weather looked very nice so we decided to go and look for a cave in Borgarfjörður and have lunch at a place in Borgarnes where they serve icelandic food. When we arrived in Borgarnes the place was being renovated and was totally closed. Fortunately we found another place that served simple food.

The closer we got to the caves the more it rained and when we were finally at the F-road (F for four wheel drive) it was closed due to the condition of the road. We had to turn back without seeing the cave. We decided to return later when the roads have been opened.

At least we saw some other nice things like waterfalls and horses.
