The Way of Water

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Twelve years ago, the Standard Life movie club organised a screening of Avatar in 3D and even though I was very dubious I went along and enjoyed it anyway. 

I remember not thinking too much of the plot but liking the film for the spectacle and for 3D that actually worked. 

And now here we are for the sequel. Jefe and Manda persuaded me despite myself. I was dubious. 

But ended up enjoying it anyway. Not so much for the plot but for the spectacle and for 3D that actually works. 

Also, I do enjoy the company of J&M. They are always warm and funny and so enthusiastic about films. They LOVED it and we had a fun chat over pizza afterward that carried on all the way home (they very kindly drove me home).

The film wraps up neatly at the end but the door is left open for a sequel. Who knows, maybe next Xmas I'll be here again with Manda and Jefe?

I'll be okay with this. With no trace of dubiousness.
