Another visit to Bothwell Street ...

... and a lot busier. This frieze by Gilbert Bayes depicts The Qualities of Man in Modern Society i.e. Industry, Commerce, Justice, Wisdom , Contentment and Prudence is on two sides of the former Commercial Bank of Scotland building by the renowned architect James Miller and his assistant Richard Gunn.
The building, constructed in 1934/5 (now a bar and restaurant) is of Portland stone and is B listed.
