Science and Industry Museum.

Today is Franky's 8th birthday. He wanted to go to the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. It was brilliant, and fascinating. This is a computer built in June 1948, the same month and year of Grandad Jeff's birth date. I told the children that this would have been Grandad's i pad back in the day! See story in extras. They looked at me blankly!

The children loved drawing their own textile designs (also an extra). 

The afternoon was spent at 'Total Ninja'.  Sensory overload is an understatement of the place, but they had a blast.

Then back to Jodie's for Domino's Pizza and birthday cake. Jodie and family are now on their way back home, in the pouring rain. A few tears from Emmeline, she has loved having her cousins to stay. We felt sad too,  we are heading home tomorrow, and only live 4 miles from Jodie!

It's been the best Christmas. It's been a while since we have spent it as a family, Christmas's have to be shared between families these days, and each family have their strong traditions. It took a long while for Jodie and Hayley to let go of our traditions, but they are making their own.
