Happy Mother's Day!!

Here is a pretty little alpine wildflower for all the mothers today, especially mine who is very far away! This little flower is called soldanella alpina. Nancy, Spencer and I did a via ferrata today with Jean Max at Courchevel, which I think tested Nancy's nerves a bit more than she would have liked but she did a great job anyway! Max, who always likes to go out early in the morning, took us out at 9am and it was cold, cloudy, windy, and started raining on us in the end. Then, as soon as we got home the sun came out and it was beautiful! We napped in the afternoon and did some housework, and made Nancy fish tacos for dinner with flan and nectarine compote for dessert. Yum yum!! Happy Mother's Day!!
