105 years old

My friend Ivy.
I’ve blipped her before. Usually on her birthdays.
She’s now 105.!

Today wasn’t a great day for her though. Me and another of her friends who pop into see her at her home( still living alone independently) thought she wasn’t her usual self, I called an ambulance, just for her to be checked over( her usual GP closed at the moment). Paramedics thought she was pretty good, for her age!
But getting some bloods done would be ideal. They couldn’t do that on the spot so they phoned through to the After Hours clinic to say that we were coming and that Ivy is 105 and could we be prioritised so that she didn’t have to wait long, which was so good because when we got there the waiting area must have had near to 50 people there!

She was seen fairly promptly, resulting in finding an infection being diagnosed and we came home with antibiotics .
Ivy is adamant that she does not want to go into hospital, and she is at peace with the fact that she is at the end of her life and wants to stay in her own home.
She never married or had children so only has a cousin that Is family.

I’ll be visiting her each day to see how she’s going.
She’s such a wonderful person.
