Snow Devils

Despite the warnings, I had to experience it for myself, even for a short duration. Temperature 3°F (-16°C), with wind chill -14°F (-26°C) and wind speeds gusting to 20mph. I had to shield my head from the wind as it penetrated my woolly hat making my forehead painful.

The wind whipped up the snow snaking its way across the ice towards me, even creating a vortex at times, but I failed to capture them. The snow collected in piles making an interesting composition.
