Boxing Day Reading

A morning walk by the sea (far away from rabbits and gorse bushes). We made it out early to avoid the crowds. Perfect sunny weather today. The air felt cold and clear - good medicine to breathe in deep to try to clear my cold congested airways! We sat and watched the geese, ducks and wading birds on the shoreline.

This afternoon I spent an hour at the allotment finishing pruning of the fruit bushes and apple trees started a week or so ago. I was there alone in the peace as the light faded and the temperature started to drop.

This evening I’ve been reading and with Andy, watching the tv footage of the start of the Sydney to Hobart sailing race.
