Winter Solstice

We spent the shortest day of the year at Shugborough. We felt like a change of scene and often forget we are members of the National Trust.

It didn't feel like the shortest day as it was sunny. We arrived around lunchtime so had a couple of their famous spicy cauliflower pasties before we went for our walk.

We met the Longhorn cattle on our route up to Hadrian's Arch.
