Tree lights

A great day, though a lazy one. It began bright and sunny (extra) but rain and driving sleet arrived at evening time. It was nice to be warm and cosy looking out at the weather.

Even nicer was our Christmas meal, which was really lovely. A shame about dessert, which got left behind in my place and never made it to the table. Ah well …

The absolute highlight was our film choice. Carl said he had something lined up, but never in my wildest imaginings did I expect to be watching The Banshees of Inisherin, which popped up on Disney+ out of the blue. What a wonderful film! Stellar acting, wonderful script, funny and sad in equal measure. No wonder it’s been attracting such praise. We ate late, and had our film experience later, but both were well worth waiting for.
