Downy Woodpecker
I finally managed to photograph one of the Downy Woodpeckers (Dryobates pubescens) through a window. They visit the feeders regularly, but the birds rarely stay long enough for me to get an image. This female thoroughly enjoyed the peanut suit balls.
I am having a bit of bad luck lately. I had a flat tire late last night, and my Brother-in-Law changed my tire for me in a raging snowstorm. I discovered that the spare tire was also flat when I tried to leave for work this afternoon, so I had to get a ride from my sister. I am thankful that the spare lasted long enough to get me home safely last night, and I am very grateful for my family’s help.
