Brighton at Christmas

To Brighton today where my eldest daughter and her partner entertained us for dinner. Paula's partner, Jimmy, is a very good cook and it was an oasis of calm when we arrived compared to the frantic juggling of everything that usually occurs chez nous. I whetted my appetite further by a walk along the beach with my youngest daughter before the meal was served. It was a grey damp day and the Palace Pier looked a little forlorn in the distance.
