Christmas Greetings from Humshaugh

It’s just the two of us today. So far we have had a lovely time, with a slow morning followed by present opening before lunch.

Friends have been very kind to us and have chosen well.

I’m wearing my new dress and red tights. Mum even has Christmas socks on!

We watched most of yesterday’s Carols from Kings before Brian and Margaret (across the road) popped in. Then it was the King’s speech. He did well and the content included a thoughtful link to the Queen.

Now I’m waiting with some anxiety to see if my chicken casserole (courtesy of the Hairy Bikers) was worth the preparation! Fingers crossed.

The cats have ignored their toys so catnip from Aldi is clearly inferior stuff!
