This lifeboat landed up in a rock pool close to where we stay after floating some 480kms down the coast. The engine was still intact but mysteriously disappeared overnight! A strong gale and high seas resulted in the boat being lifted from the pool and onto the rocks, where it has remained all these years. It is slowly disintegrating and will soon be covered by reeds and other vegetation.
I bet it has quite a story to tell!
Hubby T and I took the dogs along with us so that I could photograph it today - something I've been meaning to do for a long time. It was quite a mission as the path is now muddy and slippery and we had to clamber over the rocks. I think future photos will be taken from a distance with my long lens!
