Little Green

Today we (about 20 kids and several adults) made an "expedition" an hour South from St. Petersburg at a little river, where we could see the rock formations, aged millions of years. We met frogs and snails, flowers.... Made a picnic on an little island.

On the picture you can see some "Dachas" - the typical Russian garden plots, where many people spend their whole free time to make something crow in our a bit rough climate.... Or at least stay for the summer or sent kids with grandparents to stay there for the summer, if there is no other possibility where to send them for the three months of summer holidays... Actually the garden plots on this picture are less typical, as they are near a little village, so people probably don't live there, but go home after work in the evening.

No rain today, but also almost no sun.
