Feeding the young........!!

The Starlings were in the garden en masse this afternoon, all working together collecting food for their youngsters.

I was busy lifting one of our patio's, which i'm going to return to grass and flower beds. The lifting of each slab offered a variety of worms, slugs, ants and millipedes, for the Starlings, Blackbird and Robin to get stuck into. Bev, jumped into her car and popped down to the local fishing tackle shop to get some maggots which we also fed to the birds.

Hopefully the youngsters will be well fed and nourished.

In the words of the Asda adverts, "every little helps"....!!
