This Must Be Some Kind Of Saucery

Sorry I must apologise for the awful pun in the title (it doesn't even work properly because there's a cup in the image too!) but this was very much a last minute blip at the end of what felt like a rather hectic day.
I finally managed to complete my Christmas shopping - there's nothing like waiting until the day before Christmas to get it all done for your peace of mind! I must admit I really don't want to see the inside of a shop or a supermarket anytime soon. 
However, after all that self inflicted stress it was time to enjoy ourselves so we headed to our local restaurant, The Hengist, for our now traditional Christmas Eve meal. We all settled on the same two courses - lamb rump with seasonal veg, beetroot puree and red wine gravy (jus, if you're posh) followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice cream all washed down with a lovely bottle of wine. Wonderful!
Once we got back home I felt completely relaxed (o.k maybe a bit too relaxed!) until I remembered we still had present wrapping up to do. A beer or two did seem to speed up the process - god knows what it will look like in the cold light of day though!
Then it suddenly hit me that I hadn't got my blip for the day - so this was the first thing I saw on our dining room table and I was amazed that it actually came out.
