Christmas Eve walk
I stayed up late last night to watch a film on my own. It finished at 1am. I slept until 7 which was amazing, then for a couple more hours. I didn't get up for an hour, choosing to lay in bed listening to Saturday Live. Radio 2 is always on in our house, and at weekends it's way too noisy for me. I like radio 4!
I did get up eventually and after coffee, Jon and I went for a long walk to Felbrigg, round the grounds and back out along the road. We saw a heron and I collected some good sized acorn cups. I've made a mental note of the tree. There are different shaped acorn cups and some are better for my tiny mice than others.
Mollie and Henry went shopping for Christmas eve dinner. They bought Iceland Chinese food, and we added them to the bits snd pieces we already had. Dan and Josh arrived in the afternoon and with mum too we played an escape room game Mollie had, and ate nibbles. This was followed by dinner prepared by Mollie and Henry - a tasty on our laps meal while The Polar Express entertained us in the background.
We then watched 'Knives Out - Glass Onion' on Netflix - one film ticked off our list. It wasn't to mum's taste so she went back home. Daniel went out and our film has just finished, so we are playing games. I don't think it will be a late night though - I'm yawning well!
Wishing all my friends and family a happy Christmas. There will be 7 of us. I hope it will be relaxed. I've peeled potatoes and parsnips but that's all! I'm sure it will be fine...it just feels like I should have done more!
