Dark and light

I hope you have a nice Christmas time wherever you are, whatever Christmas day it is for you. 
During the  morning the sun was shining in a most unusual way so I quickly dressed for the outdoors and when to a lake not far from here on our big plain, "Alvaret". A part of it is a marsh  where it's sometimes possible to ice-skate. Not today thought, the frost nights has been to few but on the other hand I got to explore the contrasting landscape, light and shade, streaming or frozen water, mild and cold, frosted grass and not.
This time of year has the clearest evidence of the conflicting nature. Just now, the cold is winning but very soon, on these latitudes, the mild is taking control.

I've experienced a very pleasant Christmas dinner this evening sharing space at a friends family gathering. Good food and company for a few hours is what we need, maybe some other things too but they can be achieved on other occasions. Thanks dear friends, and thanks for sharing your moments so far. Soon we will begin a new chapter ( as if we don't every moment), hope to follow you then.
