Christmas Eve
Today as we drove home from visiting our daughter in the Black Isle we stopped at House of Bruar. They have made the whole place sparkle with white lights on the trees. Lovely.
We spent two days with our daughter and thoroughly enjoyed seeing our grandson open some early presents. At two and a half he knows about parcels and surprises and certainly recognised Santa when he visited the neighbourhood on his 'sleigh'.
The extras show the fun he had with his new trailer yesterday. First he helped two grandfathers to build it. His other grandparents have a smallholding with ponies, ducks, several dogs, chickens and Mr and Mrs Peacock. First he went to fetch some logs and visit the peacocks in the horse shelter. Then we went to collect some apples for the ponies. Finally we played on the swing. I managed some long distance shots of the woodpecker visiting the bird feeder. Mrs Peacock posed on the roof of the car. What a good time we all had!
On Boxing Day we'll spend time with our son's family.
