Jolabokaflod

In Iceland on Christmas Eve, Jolabokaflod , the gifting and receiving of books, is celebrated as a tradition. The books are then read that evening and over the Christmas period.
This year, our son who now lives in Denmark, decided to start this tradition with both our family and his wife’s. So tonight we all had a short video call as we unwrapped the books he’d chosen for us all. These are the ones Katie, Martin and I got. Now we can settle down with our Christmas pjs on, a glass of wine and our new book!
