Christmas Eve 2022

This is what my Christmas Eve has looked like in pictures.
I awarded myself a cinnamon bun with my Söderberg coffee morning. It was warmed in the pizza oven a little too enthusiastically on one side.

Thus fortified it was home to chop and peel to make a pan of spicy apple and squash soup and a pan of stovies with sausage, both of which will be part of the meal on Boxing Day.

Porty daughter rescued me after lunch lest the domestic goddess mantle became too weighty. I won’t see her tomorrow but she will come to the get together on Boxing Day.

I’ve just had a face time with my brother’s family in Wiltshire. My youngest niece who lives in NZ is back with her family for a holiday. I haven’t seen her for over 5 years during which time her three children have grown up and the two boys have suddenly shot up to become dizzingly tall.

Now it’s time to listen to Carols from King’s College, wondering if I should crack open the bottle of gin my neighbour gifted me this morning.
