Tree heron
I just didn’t feel like doing the parkrun this morning and after various Christmas related chores I decided to go to the Burrell Collection. It was closed. By coincidence J had same idea and we both found ourselves photographing one of the Highland cows, extra. It was good to catch up, she is still working and our paths rarely cross.
I walked towards the library, which was open, and I managed to pick up the Rough Guide to Slovenia, on my list for 2023, finding local bus timetables is so far problematic. I spotted this heron as I was crossing the Auldhouse. Bridge, he/she sat there for ages. The river was high and there was a absence of bank side perching options.
The gym and pool was also open, gloriously quiet with just handful of folk. A good day even without the parkrun.
