My favourite card
A busy day - most time seemed to be taken packing the car. Glad we have no passengers!
Chris called with her son and his little lad, so I got rid of the surplus toys. Colin called with presents - he’s the only one in the house without flu.
After I’d done the rest of the food prep I walked over the moor to deliver Gill’s card - she hadn’t come to book group as she too had flu. Mr C drove to pick me up as time was rushing on.
When checking we’d got all the food out of the fridge I saw Katy and I hadn’t finished the champagne the other evening, so I took it with my book to the bath. How decadent I felt. But it will be the last quiet moment till Tuesday.
Now #2 daughter is fretting they won’t have room for all the food!
We are late getting away to Whitley Bay as there’s a big queue in the chemist where Mr C had to pick up his prescription.
I hope everything is going according to plan for everyone. It’s a tough time of year for many, especially the poor, ill, lonely or bereaved.
