Orange tip

The weather was lovely this morning, perfect for a walk, so off we went to a nearby nature reserve. Lots and lots of photos to choose from but I settled for this one because I have been after a photo of an orange tip butterfly for a couple of weeks now - they all just flutter on by without stopping but at last one stopped long enough for me to get a shot. There were lots of insects out today including large gatherings of flies hanging in the air like clouds that seemed to follow us as we walked. I found out the hard way not stand with your mouth open while you are trying to line up a photo - yuk!
Really glad we chose to go out this morning as it's very grey and pouring with rain now.
