Late cake

It’s a busy time for everyone, my day started at 4:45 am as a 6:00 am starting time at work was mutually agreed, this allowed us to leave at 13:30 pm. A new bank debit card needed to be collected from my local branch, the weekly shop, Christmas present shopping for auntie and finishing off my own before getting back to sort out an issue with one of auntie’s medications that had nearly nearly run out. Several phone calls were exchanged between myself and a very efficient lady at the surgery concluded that an emergency prescription needed to be sent to the pharmacy for said medication , it should be ready to collect either on Saturday morning or Tuesday.
Fresh mackerel with bread and butter followed by diced pear and yogurt sorted in between more phone calls between myself and cousins to sort out return transport from a family gathering on Monday. Godmother and twin sister to auntie called to arrange a visit on Tuesday as her eldest son P was staying with her and could drive her up from Bovey Tracey. This left just enough time to mix up and throw into the oven a mincemeat cake and wrap some presents and write some Christmas cards for auntie.
