Winless
I go to the cinema a lot, and indeed I went at teatime today to see a 75th anniversary screening of The Bishop's Wife at the local multiplex.
I passed here on the way there, passed the boarded-up Filmhouse. It's a crying shame for sure that a place like that doesn't exist anymore in this capital city of ours. I didn't always go as regularly as I should have maybe but I've certainly been plenty of times over the years (first visit way back in 1989 for Wings Of Desire) and seen the kind of stuff that you really couldn't see anywhere else. Plus it was the home of the Edinburgh International Film Festival of course, where I worked each summer from 1994-2000. No solution offered here but, y'know, I miss it.
Right, have a tune from today's playlist
