2917. Discovery

We were in Dundee today meeting some friends for lunch.  My friend is a performance artist and has a residency at the moment so she was spending a few days in Dundee doing research and she hadn’t visited the V&A before so it was a great place for her to come to.

We had a lovely lunch in Porter’s Bar at the Quay and had hoped to go to the McManus Galleries but the weather was awful so we headed home a little earlier than planned.  Her husband was very tired after their day there and the travelling down, he is terminally ill so it was not the best idea to keep him out in the cold, damp weather.  It was lovely to see them and each time we do I worry about the time coming when we won’t see him, it puts everything else into perspective.

My son had his formal offer letter for his new job today so he was going into work today to hand in his notice, it appears that he may be starting in the new year, I’m so pleased for him.
