A mixed day to say the least. We missed our flight to Manchester, one bus too full, next one a no show, and then the passport control strike at Charleroi did for us. Christmas in Brussels it is then.

On the way to the fruit and veg shop (for Brussels sprouts for our Christmas tea) a man was standing on his doorstep with this bouquet of flowers. We're leaving on holiday, he said, would you like these? So now we have a centrepiece for our Christmas lunch.
