Canute?

Had a little walk as training for next week's Kiltwalk and thought a walk on the sand would be good preparation. However the tide was coming in so had to take to the woodlands at times.

What I don't understand about this pic is why? The nearest car access is about 1/2 a mile. So someone (or some people) would have to carry this quite a distance rather than drive to the local recycling point and walk a matter of yards.
