The Magic Lantern

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

I bought this lantern from M&S and had it sent over special. 

It follows on from earlier in the year when I took a box of chocolates that the Princess sent me, and used it within one of my stories for Zay and Hani.

This lantern is actually a container for shortbread. But Zay and Hani are not interested in shortbread. So I took that out and ate it. 

What THEY are interested in is the fact it lights up and looks Xmassy and magic. So I've got two of these "golden lanterns" and have spun a story of Xmas magic about them. 

In the story, Dave the Rumblecat is afraid of the dark. So Santa gives him this special lantern which does not dispel the dark, but shows you all the magic things hidden there instead. And Dave learns to love the darkness because it is sparkly and magical. 

I'm going to wrap up the two lanterns in special golden paper and Fazzy can give them to Hani and Zay on Xmas morning. 

It makes me happy that Dave still makes them smile.
