Favorite house

This house is one I pass just as I turn off to get to the school. It always makes me smile as it's so pretty. I realized this morning that it was the last day for me to see it decorated as I don't come to Ellsworth over break. I pulled over and took the photo. They usually have electric candles in the window that are lit. You can still see them in the window.
Today was a short day but seemed to drag on. We generally had fun and there was a nice school assembly in the morning but I was so happy when the kids finally got on the buses at 11:30.
Now we are sitting here and waiting for the wild wind and rain to start. It will really not start until the middle of the night. Dan spent another day covering up some windows and bracing some of our small structures. We'll keep the ducks inside tomorrow as it will be too dangerous for them to be out in the high winds that are expected. (Now up to 70mph gusts possible). We have lots of water stored, extra batteries and wood ready for what we assume will be a power outage.
