The boys

We had a full morning sorting Christmas stuff...then headed to meet Sam and Anna for the Chocolatada at school to celebrate the end of term - hot chocolate, cake and games/crafts. Nate and Rocco had a great time racing round together and making various Christmas themed things.
The kids have helped make our homeless friends stockings. A new nice pair of socks - one sock stuffed with chocolates and the other with mini toiletries and tied together with a bow. And then Sara and JayJay came at 4,30 to make mince pies and mini apple crumbles, again for our homeless friends. She'd made the pastry with some ground almond and orange zest, and her mom had made the mincemeat - they smell utterly amazing. I think they left at about 8pm, we were all shattered!!
In amongst that was a message from an upset friend who'd had all her stuff thrown away by someone...so Danny went out to give her a blanket. It's really no fun being vulnerable on the streets.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Nate and Rocco's friendship. Nate's in the year above but they get play times together.
2) Sara, JayJay and Júlia making so much effort for our friends.
3) The prospect of a chilled evening and some Netflix.
