Yellow Broom

We went out this morning to have brunch in a little café in Bishop's Stortford, before a quick dash into Waitrose for fruit and vegetables and then we were home in time for me to watch the F1.

It has threatened to rain all day, but has not yet done so although it is very dull. I took this picture of one of the many Brooms which are in our largest curved border, which clearly needs some work done on the weeds! I have several of these shrubs in the garden, the majority are yellow, but we have some two-toned yellow and orange ones as well as several red ones. I chose this one because it is the biggest, but also because Dougal is in the picture although he is walking away at this point.
