Catch of the Day

Today's the day ....................... to get in supplies

I imagine that it's not often that a trip to the supermarket will go past views like the one in extras - but ours did today.

It was such a beautifully blue, still day as we drove along the Solway Coast to Newton Stewart where there's a choice of big supermarkets for Christmas provisions.  On the way home, we stopped in a lay-by and I walked a bit along the shore.  I could see this heron, gazing motionless into the water and quite oblivious to me.  Then there was a sudden stab of that beak and there it was with a really quite big salmon(?) neatly caught.

All for free too ....................!
