Grey Heron

The young one flew up from behind me today and landed on the grass. She had all her food then flew over to the water for an extra piece. The crows pretty much had biscuits although one brave crow grabbed a bit of her fish. Then I made my way round to the male. It was only him and the new youngster who may be a female. They had most of their fish today as the loch is thawed out and they are not on the ice which makes it difficult for the black headed gulls.

I will need to check I have enough fish for the holiday period - the new favourite is Canadian Hake. .
