Goodbye Germany

Thought we were going to miss our flight home this morning as our pre booked taxi didn’t turn up! Chased it, to be told it had went to the wrong Premier Inn (10 minutes away) but that it was on the way. 20 minutes later, it still hadn’t arrived even though a text got sent to us saying it was there! I’ve lost track of how many calls we made / conversations had with the driver who kept assuring us he was nearly there. He finally turned up an hour late! We never did get a proper explanation as to what went wrong nor why we were blatantly told lies when we first chased them!

We then had a stressful hour long journey to the airport. I know there are no speed limits on the autobahn in Germany but I was seriously scared to look at the speedometer he was going so fast!

Fortunately we made it and with Weeze being a small airport, we were checked in and in the plane in no time.

What a weekend we’ve had. I’ve really got the international park-run tourism bug now!
